Londrina is a vernacular font inspired by true events.
English. Londrina is a typeface made from letters manually drawn on squared paper and then retraced on tracing paper. The starting point was to draw a generic sans serif vernacular-inspired type like the letters we see all the time in cafeterias and street commerce not only in Brazil. Londrina is now being distributed in 3 different packs, The Solid pack, The Layer pack and The SVG Color pack, as you can see in the images above. Originally Londrina was called Folk, but the name was already had registered by another foundry and as Londrina was join the Google Fonts catalog, we thought it was time for a new name, a tribute to the city where I lived. Since I started distributing this Font I have seen Londrina displayed in all sorts of professional and amateur projects, an instant hit and a great exemple of beginner's luck. This page to always make available the last updated version of the font files and also the source files for those who want to make their own version.

Portuguese. Londrina é uma tipografia criada à partir de uma letra de forma desenhada manualmente no papel quadriculado e finalizada no papel vegetal. O ponto de partida foi desenhar uma letra sem serifa genérica de inspiração vernacular como as vistas em cartazes de lanchonetes e comércio popular em geral no Brasil. Londrina agora é distribuída em 3 diferentes packs, The Solid pack, The Layer pack e The SVG Color pack, como você pode ver nas imagens acima. Originalmente a Londrina se chamava Folk, mas o nome já estava registrado por outra foundry e como a Londrina estava indo para o catálogo do Google Fonts, achamos que era hora dela ter um novo nome, uma homenagem à cidade que morei. Desde que comecei a distribuir essa fonte gratuitamente no meu antigo website tenho visto Londrina aplicada de toda maneira em diversos projetos profissionais e amadores, um sucesso e também uma bela sorte de principiante. Esta página é pra divulgar a fonte e disponibilizar sempre a versão mais atualizada dos arquivos de fonte e também dos arquivos abertos pra quem quiser fazer sua própria versão.
